Gemma Davis - BUPA London 10K Marathon 31st May 2010
I ran for another charity last year, but would like to raise money for something that is very worth while and that actual results can be seen. I would like to run this event in aid of Harvey after hearing about him through the school I work for, and meeting him before and after he had his new legs. Once you meet Harvey he has you spellbound with his energy and determination.
SEPTEMBER
Mariama Nish - Bupa 30th Great North Run - Sunday 19 September 2010
I first heard about Harvey after attending a community event in Enfield, his mother, Carol spoke with passion about all they had gone through after Harvey had caught Meningitis Meninigococal Septicaemia at the age of only 15 months. The end result for Harvey was amputation of both his legs above the knees and three and a half of his right fingers. Today he is nearly five years old and starts school this week.
